I need to preface this blog by saying that the couple photographed were very private, but also, when you get such a stunning venue as Normanton Church, Rutland, I absolutely need to show you these images.
We started off at Keythorpe Manor, Leicester, for a little bit of prep, the bride had two lovely girls who were so excited to be getting ready with mummy. The Prosecco was flowing, the hairspray was flying and there was a lot of excitement in the air. The Rolls turned up and off we went over the border to Rutland.
Normanton Church truly is breathtaking – it’s a small, intimate, venue, in the exceptional surroundings of Rutland Water. The ceremony was at the perfect time for the most beautiful, warm light. Just before sunset really is the best time to shoot.
Keythorpe Manor, Leicester, is a great venue, it looked beautiful inside. The nice touches such as the homemade preserves as favours and an epic cake finished it off. The speeches were probably the funniest and most touching I’ve heard – all because the people involved were so relaxed and genuine.
It was a great day, full of love, family and dancing. I feel privileged to be a part of every wedding I shoot, but this one especially I felt like part of the family, which always helps when getting natural, loving, stunning images.
