Another beautiful wedding from 2017 – this time Kim and James were looking for a Spalding Wedding Photographer for their big day. It was clear from the first meeting that these guys were really relaxed, which is always reflected in the end result.
I started off at the beautiful Woodhouse Farm Lodge in Spalding where Kim and her bridesmaids were getting ready with the assistance of the very talented Liz from LizStanilandHMUA – once again, it is one of my favourite parts of the day, everyone is full of excitement for the day, and I get to take loads of creative shots of details like the wedding rings etc.
I headed over to St. Mary’s St. Nicholas Church, Spalding and met with James and the rest of the groomsmen, there were quite a few… all of them spending their time relaxing James, who seemed to be a little nervous. As soon as Kim arrived James immediately relaxed and you’ll see the lovely moment he first sees her.
A lovely service and we headed out for a confetti shot. Now, I love confetti shots, I especially love confetti cannons, BUT – I need to be told they’re being set off, it scared the life out of me! Some cool shots though, so I forgive you guys. A nice walk through Ayscoughfee gardens, which is one of the nicest settings for Spalding wedding photography, and we headed over to the Baskervilles in Baston.
The Baskervilles is a nice, intimate, venue, which was decorated beautifully inside, and has some great space outside for people to relax. The best man, aptly named Smiler, gave a very heartfelt speech, which was also full of laughs – you could also see how important Kim is to her father, as he gave a beautiful speech also. First dance time, this meant more confetti cannons! But I knew about these ones, so that was cool. All in all it was a great day, very relaxed, some beautiful locations, and lots of fun people.
If you’re looking for a Spalding wedding photographer then please get in touch – I’d love to shoot here again.
