Hazel Gap Barn is owned by Cripps&Co, who specialise in restoring beautiful old barns and walled gardens for weddings and events. The venue itself is a dramatic red-brick barn on the Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire.

Weddings at Hazel Gap Barn
Hazel Gap Barn has capacity for 150 guests for the ceremony and breakfast; with space for a further 100 evening guests for dancing and celebrating. Speaking of which, they are licensed until 1am – so no need to cut the party short.
They have three distinctive indoor areas to help your wedding run as smoothly as possible, as well as a beautiful courtyard full of fire pits and seating for you to enjoy on your big day.
The Barn
A beautiful barn which you can decorate as you wish – with plenty of beams and bricks it will give your wedding a truly rustic feeling. Walking through the barn to greet your partner is an amazing feeling, make sure you do it in a stunning location.
The barn can also be used in the evening for your first dance and celebrations. There’s plenty of space for a live band, a DJ, or a combination of the two. They also have a state-of-the-art Funktion-One sound system.
The Breakfast Room
Another area filled with natural beams and lit with natural light from the large windows – the perfect space to hold your wedding breakfast and speeches. From the top table you will be able to see all of your guests enjoying the day.
Bar/Lounge
This space, connecting the barn and the breakfast room, has a sofa and seating area for you and your guests to relax throughout the day. There’s also a fully stocked bar (plus, amazing coffee) to keep you all quenched.

As I said earlier, being a Hazel Gap Barn wedding photographer is a real joy. There are so many areas which can be used for photos. As you hopefully know, I don’t set anything up, or make you do any awkward posing – just natural wedding photography.
This is where a beautiful venue helps. Everywhere I take pictures will look good! If I use a wide angle lens to tell a story with an image, it will really compliment them.
