Ladywood Estate Wedding Photographer

Wedding Photography at Ladywood Estate

Working as a Ladywood Estate wedding photographer is a dream; a truly stunning venue, with something for everyone, located just outside of Oakham, Rutland, it’s an easy venue to travel to. Seeing how well the team cater for the variety of weddings they do, it’s no wonder that it is one of the most popular wedding venues in the East Midlands.

Ladywood Estate

Ladywood Estate is a country house wedding venue is set in 100 acres of parkland and gardens, featuring two lakes and 22 acres of woodland which give the Estate its name. The venue is a leading Asian wedding venue, and has a wealth of experience in hosting numerous, Gujarati, Punjabi, Sikh & Muslim weddings – accommodating up to 450 guests. Ladywood is the dream venue for any photographer with its flower gardens, woodland setting, formal gardens and open countryside.

What a Backdrop for Photography

All parts of your day are covered. I use a documentary approach to wedding photography – I don’t make moments happen or control the day in any way, just be there when the moments happen and capture them. This is so easy at Ladywood Estate; from bridal prep through to the first dance you are surrounded by beauty. Their bridal suite is the ideal location for a hair and make-up artist to work in, I’ll use a wide angle lens and get in all of the detail of your morning of prep.

The ceremony rooms (and outside area) are spacious, and provide beautiful light for my compositions, the gardens speak for themselves – having a small break in the afternoon for a relaxed walk while I take informal couple portraits is a joy. The speeches and other traditional elements of the wedding day take place, again, in beautiful areas, with lots of natural light, and space for me to use a wide range of angles and compositions to capture some amazing, natural images.

A Beautiful Wedding Venue

Due to the size of the venue, there are many areas which cater for a variety of ceremonies and celebrations.

The Orangery: used for wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions and English tea parties, features a full-length glass wall which creates that ‘outside – inside’ experience.
The Wedding Pavilion: used for dining, and dancing, with commercial kitchen, cloakrooms and bar. Underfloor heating makes Autumn or Winter events an attractive possibility.
Food & Drink: Ladywood provides a choice of approved catering companies, or you choose your own company. Couples are invited to provide their own drink with no charge for corkage.
