This outdoor wedding at Escrick Park featured a toilet paper based metaphor, a Goofy hat, teepees, hundreds of origami cranes and a speech delivered in Mandarin
Katy and Sam's big day isn't far away now, it was super exciting to meet up with them to get some shots. As with most couples (people) they weren't too keen on having their photos taken, however, after listening to my terrible jokes, they soon eased into it, and I'll...
These guys were looking for an Essex wedding photographer after booking their dream venue – Leez Priory. I get super excited when there’s an amazing venue to work at, and this one truly is
Another beautiful wedding from 2017 – this time Kim and James were looking for a Spalding Wedding Photographer for their big day. It was clear from the first meeting that these guys were really relaxed, which is always reflected in the end result.
Hopefully you’ve read the blog from last Sunday’s wedding fayre at Normanton Park Hotel, if not, why not?!?! Well, I decided to run a little competition to give one lucky couple a free mini engagement shoot on the day. Kat and Dan were the winners, they were a great laugh to take pictures with, and the weather provided a pretty cool backdrop – although we got wet. Very wet.
This past Sunday I spent the day exhibiting at the Nicole Hope Smith Wedding Fayre at Normanton Park hotel, a great celebration of Rutland Weddings. I have only done two wedding fayres, this one, and the last one put on by Nicole Hope Smith. There’s a couple of reasons for this; one, the venue is amazing, right on the shore of Rutland Water means I have a great view all day, and two, it’s a small, intimate wedding fayre which showcase some of the best businesses which all help when planning Rutland weddings.
I’ve absolutely loved sorting the images for this blog. It was a special wedding for me, which I’ll come on to, but it was also a beautiful, child friendly, wedding.

This is where it all began. My very first wedding. I met Emma and Dean through my wife who had worked with Emma in a previous life, she was due to be married and was looking for a wedding photographer. Luckily, I’d very recently made the decision to go full time photographing weddings – so it all worked out pretty nicely. Off I headed to Grantham, Lincolnshire in anticipation.
A question I see pop up a lot regarding planning weddings is whether to invite children or not, there is obviously no right or wrong answer, it’s down to your personal choice. Having said that, if you are planning on inviting children, then you need to do it right, and boy did these guys do it right!
This just goes to show; all you need is some taste, a resourceful groom, an amazing guest and a whole lot of love to make some great memories.
…then she casually mentions there will also be a hog roast, bucking bronco and a horse – A HORSE!!!
I first met these guys when I went over to meet them to discuss their plans for the big day, and I could tell how relaxed the day would be, which is perfect for me, I love relaxed!
