The Manor Rooms Wedding Photographer
Ah, 2021, the year I shot two years worth of weddings in 7 months; a real highlight for me was the day I got to be a Manor Rooms wedding photographer.
The Manor Rooms is based on the The Drewton Estate, which is privately owned with 1200 acres of farmland and woodland on the edge of the famous Yorkshire Wolds in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
They hold many weddings there each year, and it’s easy to see why – the location is amazing; also, the layout and decor are very high quality and lend it to a wedding with a difference. It’s kind of a hybrid between a barn wedding and a high end hotel wedding.
Then, you take a look at the view! Wedding photography is pretty easy here…
The Manor Rooms
Their professional events team is headed up by Lisa, the Events Manager, who works closely with Katie Taylor MBE (owner). The whole team has a wealth of experience and shares Katie’s passion, values and attention to detail.
From your initial enquiry through to event, you can rest assured that they will deliver a personal service, with creative expertise.
Catering is offered for up to 150 seated dining guests, and up to 200 evening guests, with their own in-house team of chefs who are proud to deliver exceptional food and service, with creative, seasonal and delicious menus (I can attest to this)
The Garden Room
Beautifully decorated to create a stunning room for your wedding, with ornate wall mirrors, cascading twinkling lights, a green foliage photo wall and fabulous chandeliers, this room is truly special. Aside from being the perfect wedding ceremony room.
The Library
Featuring sumptuous comfy sofas and stylish decor, the library provides a wonderful private area for an intimate wedding or civil ceremony for up to 60 guests; or a lounge area for later in the evening. Set on a mezzanine above the main function room, this room has wonderful views overlooking The Terrace and fields beyond.
The Manor Room
When you’re in this fabulous dining and party room, adorned with huge chandeliers, you’ll spin around, taking in the space and attention to detail. There is a choice of dining furniture and layouts, offering both rustic and elegant styles, a feature bar and a dance floor with modern led coloured lighting options to create the right vibe for your wedding.
This room leads directly onto The Terrace, where you will no doubt fall in love with the spectacular views across the rolling hills of the East Yorkshire Wolds!
This room really does have the wow-impact.
Weddings at The Manor Rooms
The wedding ceremony held in the garden room is intimate, with attention to detail visible throughout. The walk down the aisle through your friends and family will be beautifully lit from the large side window.
From the ceremony you will be able to go through to the Manor Room for your drinks reception – the room is bright and spacious, as already mentioned, it has seating for 150 guests without feeling crowded. Your wedding breakfast, speeches and cake cutting will be seamless.
Book a Documentary Photographer (Me) for your wedding
There are many reasons to book a documentary photographer, like myself, to photograph your wedding. A documentary wedding photographer excels at capturing the genuine moments and emotions that unfold throughout your wedding day. Rather than staging poses or orchestrating scenes, I will focus on candid shots that reflect the true essence of your celebration. From the nervous anticipation before the ceremony to the heartfelt exchanges of vows and the crazy dancing at the reception
I want to document the real, unscripted moments that make your wedding unique. I will weave together a visual narrative that tells the story of your day in a heartfelt and authentic way.
Rather than constantly directing or interrupting the flow of events, I will work discreetly in the background, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the day you have planned. This approach creates a comfortable environment, enabling natural interactions and genuine emotions to shine through. You and your loved ones can enjoy the day without feeling self-conscious or pressured, resulting in photographs that capture the true atmosphere and connections shared on your wedding day.
I this all sounds like a great idea, then simply get in touch and let me know your plans
