Normanton Church is a fairly intimate venue, which is part of its charm. The space inside can seat up to 100 guests. It’s deceptively large inside the church, and always looks great when it’s full!

Much like the rest of the UK, rain is always a possibility in Rutland, but it doesn’t need to spoil your photos. Inside Normanton Church, the light beautiful, which works really well for documentary-style photography. If the weather breaks, we can still head outside for some natural shots by Rutland Water. I always come prepared with a flexible approach. I find that the couples who embrace any weather problems have the best days!

Because Normanton is ceremony-only, most couples choose one of the fantastic reception venues nearby. Popular options include elegant hotels like Rutland Hall, as well as rustic barns such as The Barnsdale or a party tipi wedding at Haybales Farm. Yes — the public car park is a short walk to the church, your guests will be provided with a ticket to get out free of charge. The couple, bridal party and disabled guests are able to park right up where the church is so you won’t have far to go at all!
